Lesson 4: Days Of the Month (Tsuki no Hi)






Japanese way of calling and counting the days of the month 
varies from English.
Below are the names and way of counting the days.

  1. What day of the Month is Today         ....         Kyou wa nan nichi desu ka
  2. Today is the tenth                                 ....      Kyou wa touka desu
  3. What day of the month was yesterday ....        Kinou wa nan nichi deshita ka
  4. Yesterday was the twentieth                ....         Kinou wa hatsuka deshita
  5. What day of the Month is Tomorrow  ....          Ashita wa nan nichi desu ka
  6. Tomorrow is the Fourteenth               ....          Ashita wa juu yokka desu
  7. What day of the month is Sunday       ....         Nichiyoubi wa na nichi desu la
  8. Sunday is the ninth                              ....         Nichiyoubi wa kokonoka desu
